Two Suitcases One Thread

 Dear viewers,

I have published a novel based on real events.

About the book

February 1998. Arjun, a Senior Executive from Bangalore, lands at JFK with two suitcases, a plan and everything to prove. Within weeks he learns that an IIM degree counts for nothing at the Social Security office.

What follows is twenty-eight years of ascent and collapse: the Y2K clock, a layoff, the long wait for a green card, the crash of 2008, and a mother’s death he could not reach in time. Beside him is a wife who is not an optimist but a builder.

Now, in a quiet study in North Brunswick, Arjun writes the one thing he never had: a letter for his granddaughter’s sixteenth summer.

A story based on real events about immigration, ambition, marriage, and what we owe the generations who will inherit the roads we built
